DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Tcl_PutEnv<\/b> sets an environment variable. The information is passed in a single string of the form \u201cNAME<\/i>=<\/b>value<\/i>\u201d. This procedure is intended to be a stand-in for the UNIX putenv<\/b> system call. All Tcl-based applications using putenv<\/b> should redefine it to Tcl_PutEnv<\/b> so that they will interface properly to the Tcl runtime.<\/p>\n
