DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

The macro INFINITY<\/b> expands to a float<\/i> constant representing positive infinity.<\/p>\n

The macro NAN<\/b> expands to a float<\/i> constant representing a quiet NaN (when supported). A quiet<\/i> NaN is a NaN (“not-a-number”) that does not raise exceptions when it is used in arithmetic. The opposite is a signaling<\/i> NaN. See IEC 60559:1989.<\/p>\n

The macros HUGE_VAL<\/b>, HUGE_VALF<\/b>, HUGE_VALL<\/b> expand to constants of types double<\/i>, float<\/i>, and long double<\/i>, respectively, that represent a large positive value, possibly positive infinity.<\/p>\n

On a glibc system, the macro HUGE_VAL<\/b> is always available. Availability of the NAN<\/b> macro can be tested using #ifdef NAN<\/b>, and similarly for INFINITY<\/b>, HUGE_VALF<\/b>, HUGE_VALL<\/b>. They will be defined by <\/i> if _ISOC99_SOURCE<\/b> or _GNU_SOURCE<\/b> is defined, or __STDC_VERSION__<\/b> is defined and has a value not less than 199901L.<\/p>\n
