Parse::EDID \u2212 Extended display identification data (EDID) parser<\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

This module provides some function to parse Extended Display Identification Data binary data structures.<\/p>\n

Extended Display Identification Data ( EDID<\/small> ) is a metadata format for display devices to describe their capabilities to a video source. The data format is defined by a standard published by the Video Electronics Standards Association ( VESA<\/small> ).<\/p>\n

FUNCTIONS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

parse_edid($raw_edid)<\/b>
Parse the raw binary edid data, as a string, and return a corresponding data structure, as an hashref.<\/p>\n

check_parsed_edid($edid)<\/b>
Check the data structure, and return an error message if anything is wrong, an empty string otherwise.<\/p>\n

find_edid_in_string($string)<\/b>
Extract raw binary edid data from another tool text output, such as xrandr \u2212\u2212prop.<\/p>\n
