Die Dienstprogramme xzcmp<\/b> und xzdiff<\/b> f\u00c3\u00bchren die Programme cmp<\/b>(1) beziehungsweise diff<\/b>(1) mit Dateien aus, die mittels xz<\/b>(1), lzma<\/b>(1), gzip<\/b>(1), bzip2<\/b>(1) oder lzop<\/b>(1) komprimiert wurden. Alle angegebenen Optionen werden direkt an cmp<\/b>(1) oder diff<\/b>(1) \u00c3\u00bcbergeben. Wird nur eine Datei angegeben, wird diese Datei1<\/i> (die eine Endung entsprechend eines der unterst\u00c3\u00bctzten Kompressionsformate haben muss) mit der Datei1<\/i> verglichen, von der die Kompressionsformat\u2212Endung entfernt wird. Werden zwei Dateien angegeben, dann werden deren Inhalte (falls n\u00c3\u00b6tig, unkomprimiert) an cmp<\/b>(1) oder diff<\/b>(1) weitergeleitet. Der Exit\u2212Status von cmp<\/b>(1) oder diff<\/b>(1) wird dabei bewahrt.<\/p>\n

Die Namen lzcmp<\/b> und lzdiff<\/b> dienen der Abw\u00c3\u00a4rtskompatibilit\u00c3\u00a4t zu den LZMA\u2212Dienstprogrammen.<\/p>\n
