The Linux implementation of this interface may differ (consult the corresponding Linux manual page for details of Linux behavior), or the interface may not be implemented on Linux.<\/p>\n<h2>NAME <a name=\"NAME\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">pthread_barrierattr_getpshared, pthread_barrierattr_setpshared \u2014 get and set the process-shared attribute of the barrier attributes object<\/p>\n<h2>SYNOPSIS <a name=\"SYNOPSIS\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">#include <pthread.h><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">int pthread_barrierattr_getpshared(const pthread_barrierattr_t <br \/> *restrict <i>attr<\/i>, int *restrict <i>pshared<\/i>); <br \/> int pthread_barrierattr_setpshared(pthread_barrierattr_t *<i>attr<\/i>, <br \/> int <i>pshared<\/i>);<\/p>\n<h2>DESCRIPTION <a name=\"DESCRIPTION\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">The <i>pthread_barrierattr_getpshared<\/i>() function shall obtain the value of the <i>process-shared<\/i> attribute from the attributes object referenced by <i>attr<\/i>. The <i>pthread_barrierattr_setpshared<\/i>() function shall set the <i>process-shared<\/i> attribute in an initialized attributes object referenced by <i>attr<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">The <i>process-shared<\/i> attribute is set to PTHREAD_PROCESS_SHARED to permit a barrier to be operated upon by any thread that has access to the memory where the barrier is allocated. See <i>Section 2.9.9<\/i>, <i>Synchronization Object Copies and Alternative Mappings<\/i> for further requirements. The default value of the attribute shall be PTHREAD_PROCESS_PRIVATE. Both constants PTHREAD_PROCESS_SHARED and PTHREAD_PROCESS_PRIVATE are defined in <i><pthread.h><\/i>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">Additional attributes, their default values, and the names of the associated functions to get and set those attribute values are implementation-defined.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">The behavior is undefined if the value specified by the <i>attr<\/i> argument to <i>pthread_barrierattr_getpshared<\/i>() or <i>pthread_barrierattr_setpshared<\/i>() does not refer to an initialized barrier attributes object.<\/p>\n<h2>RETURN VALUE <a name=\"RETURN VALUE\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">If successful, the <i>pthread_barrierattr_getpshared<\/i>() function shall return zero and store the value of the <i>process-shared<\/i> attribute of <i>attr<\/i> into the object referenced by the <i>pshared<\/i> parameter.
