NAME <\/a> <\/h2>\n

gethostname \u2014 get name of current host<\/p>\n

SYNOPSIS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

int gethostname(char *name<\/i>, size_t namelen<\/i>);<\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

The gethostname<\/i>() function shall return the standard host name for the current machine. The namelen<\/i> argument shall specify the size of the array pointed to by the name<\/i> argument. The returned name shall be null-terminated, except that if namelen<\/i> is an insufficient length to hold the host name, then the returned name shall be truncated and it is unspecified whether the returned name is null-terminated.<\/p>\n

Host names are limited to {HOST_NAME_MAX} bytes.<\/p>\n

RETURN VALUE <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Upon successful completion, 0 shall be returned; otherwise, \u22121 shall be returned.<\/p>\n
