unlockpt \u2014 unlock a pseudo-terminal master\/slave pair<\/p>\n

SYNOPSIS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

int unlockpt(int fildes<\/i>);<\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

The unlockpt<\/i>() function shall unlock the slave pseudo-terminal device associated with the master to which fildes<\/i> refers.<\/p>\n

Conforming applications shall ensure that they call unlockpt<\/i>() before opening the slave side of a pseudo-terminal device.<\/p>\n

RETURN VALUE <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Upon successful completion, unlockpt<\/i>() shall return 0. Otherwise, it shall return \u22121 and set errno<\/i> to indicate the error.<\/p>\n
