DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

This file was added in Shorewall 4.4.15 and is used to define routes to be added to provider routing tables.<\/p>\n

The columns in the file are as follows.<\/p>\n

PROVIDER<\/b><\/p>\n

The name or number of a provider defined in shorewall\u2212providers<\/font><\/b> [1]<\/font><\/small> (5). Beginning with Shorewall 4.5.14, you may also enter main<\/b> in this column to add routes to the main routing table.<\/font><\/p>\n

DEST<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

Destination host address or network address.<\/font><\/p>\n

GATEWAY<\/b> (Optional)<\/font><\/p>\n

If specified, gives the IP address of the gateway to the DEST.<\/font><\/p>\n

Beginning with Shorewall 4.5.14, you may specify blackhole<\/b> in this column to create a blackhole route.<\/font><\/p>\n

Beginning with Shorewall 4.5.15, you may specify prohibit<\/b> or unreachable<\/b> in this column to create a prohibit or unreachable route respectively.<\/font><\/p>\n

DEVICE<\/b> (Optional)<\/font><\/p>\n

Specifies the device route. If neither DEVICE nor GATEWAY is given, then the INTERFACE specified for the PROVIDER in<\/font> shorewall\u2212providers<\/font><\/b> [1]<\/font><\/small> (5). This column must be omitted if blackhole<\/b>, prohibit<\/b> or unreachable<\/b> is specified in the GATEWAY column.<\/font><\/p>\n

OPTIONS<\/b> (Optional)<\/font><\/p>\n

Added in Shorewall 5.0.2.<\/font><\/p>\n

Allowed options are:<\/font><\/p>\n

persistent<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

If specified, the route remains in the provider’s routing table even when the provider is disabled.<\/font><\/p>\n
