getpgid \u2014 get the process group ID for a process<\/p>\n

SYNOPSIS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

pid_t getpgid(pid_t pid<\/i>);<\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

The getpgid<\/i>() function shall return the process group ID of the process whose process ID is equal to pid<\/i>. If pid<\/i> is equal to 0, getpgid<\/i>() shall return the process group ID of the calling process.<\/p>\n

RETURN VALUE <\/a> <\/h2>\n

Upon successful completion, getpgid<\/i>() shall return a process group ID. Otherwise, it shall return (pid_t<\/b>)\u22121 and set errno<\/i> to indicate the error.<\/p>\n

ERRORS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

The getpgid<\/i>() function shall fail if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
