NAME<\/a> urpmi.files \u2212 files used by the urpmi tools<\/p>\n The urpmi tools (urpmi, urpme, urpmi.addmedia, urpmi.update, etc.) use several different files to store the state of the RPM<\/small> repositories (or media). This manual page documents them.<\/p>\n \/var\/lib\/urpmi\/synthesis.hdlist. Contains information about all known packages.<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/urpmi.cfg<\/i><\/p>\n Contains media descriptions. See urpmi.cfg<\/b>(5).<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/proxy.cfg<\/i><\/p>\n Contains proxy descriptions for http and ftp media. See proxy.cfg<\/b>(5).<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/parallel.cfg<\/i><\/p>\n Contains the descriptions of parallel aliases, one per line. Their general format is \/etc\/urpmi\/skip.list<\/i><\/p>\n The list of packages that should not be automatically updated when using \u2212\u2212auto\u2212select. It contains one package expression per line; either a package name, or a regular expression (if enclosed in slashes \/<\/b>) to match the name of packages against. (Actually, it\u2019s matched against the full name of the package, which has the form name\u2212version\u2212release.arch<\/b>.)<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/inst.list<\/i><\/p>\n The list of packages that should be installed instead of updated. It has the same format as the skip.list.<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/prefer.list<\/i><\/p>\n The list of packages that should be preferred (useful for choices with \u2212\u2212auto<\/b>). It contains one package expression per line; either a package name, or a regular expression (if enclosed in slashes \/<\/b>) to match the name of packages against.<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/prefer.vendor.list<\/i><\/p>\n Vendor specific version of similar to prefer.list.<\/p>\n \/etc\/urpmi\/netrc<\/i><\/p>\n This file is handled by urpmi: when adding a media from an URL<\/small> containing a password, urpmi will remove the password from the URL<\/small> written into urpmi.cfg and write it in this file.<\/p>\n \/var\/lib\/rpm\/installed\u2212through\u2212deps.list<\/i><\/p>\n Contains the name of the packages that were selected indirectly, ie not requested by user (eg: libxxxN).
