This manual page documents them.<\/p>\n<h2>FILES <a name=\"FILES\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\"><i>\/var\/lib\/urpmi\/synthesis.hdlist.<media_name>.cz<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">Contains information about all known packages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/urpmi.cfg<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">Contains media descriptions. See <b>urpmi.cfg<\/b>(5).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/proxy.cfg<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">Contains proxy descriptions for http and ftp media. See <b>proxy.cfg<\/b>(5).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/parallel.cfg<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">Contains the descriptions of parallel aliases, one per line. Their general format is <b><alias>:<interface[(media)]>:<interface_parameter><\/b> where <b><alias><\/b> is a symbolic name to identify the parallel alias, <b><interface><\/b> is one of the parallel install methods (can be <b>ka-run<\/b> or <b>ssh<\/b>), <b><media><\/b> is a media list (as given to the <b>\u2212\u2212media<\/b> parameter), and finally <b><interface_parameter><\/b> is a specific interface parameter list like &#8220;\u2212c ssh \u2212m node1 \u2212m node2&#8221; for <b>ka-run<\/b> extension or &#8220;node1:node2&#8221; (list of node hostnames) for <b>ssh<\/b> extension.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/skip.list<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">The list of packages that should not be automatically updated when using \u2212\u2212auto\u2212select. It contains one package expression per line; either a package name, or a regular expression (if enclosed in slashes <b>\/<\/b>) to match the name of packages against. (Actually, it\u2019s matched against the full name of the package, which has the form <b>name\u2212version\u2212release.arch<\/b>.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/inst.list<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">The list of packages that should be installed instead of updated. It has the same format as the skip.list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/prefer.list<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">The list of packages that should be preferred (useful for choices with <b>\u2212\u2212auto<\/b>). It contains one package expression per line; either a package name, or a regular expression (if enclosed in slashes <b>\/<\/b>) to match the name of packages against.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/prefer.vendor.list<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">Vendor specific version of similar to prefer.list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/etc\/urpmi\/netrc<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">This file is handled by urpmi: when adding a media from an <small>URL<\/small> containing a password, urpmi will remove the password from the <small>URL<\/small> written into urpmi.cfg and write it in this file.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><i>\/var\/lib\/rpm\/installed\u2212through\u2212deps.list<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:17%;\">Contains the name of the packages that were selected indirectly, ie not requested by user (eg: libxxxN).
