jfs_logdump<\/b> \u2212 dump a JFS formatted device\u2019s journal log<\/p>\n

SYNOPSIS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

jfs_logdump [ -a ]<\/b> device<\/i><\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

jfs_logdump<\/b><\/i> dumps the contents of the journal log from the specified JFS formatted device into output file .\/jfslog.dmp<\/i>.<\/p>\n

device<\/i> is the special file name corresponding to the actual device from which the journal log will be dumped (e.g. \/dev\/hdb1<\/b> ).<\/p>\n

jfs_logdump<\/b> must be run as root.<\/p>\n

Dump the entire contents of the journal log instead of just the committed transactions since the last synch point.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

Dump the entire JFS journal log from the 3rd partition of the 2nd hard disk into .\/jfslog.dmp<\/i>:<\/p>\n
