With no options showmount<\/b> lists the set of clients who are mounting from that host. The output from showmount<\/b> is designed to appear as though it were processed through \u2018\u2018sort \u2212u\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2212a<\/b> or \u2212\u2212all<\/b><\/p>\n List both the client hostname or IP address and mounted directory in host:dir format. This info should not be considered reliable. See the notes on rmtab in rpc.mountd<\/b>(8).<\/p>\n \u2212d<\/b> or \u2212\u2212directories<\/b><\/p>\n List only the directories mounted by some client.<\/p>\n \u2212e<\/b> or \u2212\u2212exports<\/b><\/p>\n Show the NFS server\u2019s export list.<\/p>\n \u2212h<\/b> or \u2212\u2212help<\/b><\/p>\n Provide a short help summary.<\/p>\n \u2212v<\/b> or \u2212\u2212version<\/b><\/p>\n Report the current version number of the program.<\/p>\n \u2212\u2212no\u2212headers<\/b><\/p>\n Suppress the descriptive headings from the output.<\/p>\n rpc.mountd<\/b>(8), rpc.nfsd<\/b>(8)<\/p>\n The completeness and accuracy of the information that showmount<\/b> displays varies according to the NFS server\u2019s implementation.<\/p>\n Because showmount<\/b> sorts and uniqs the output, it is impossible to determine from the output whether a client is mounting the same directory more than once.<\/p>\n showmount<\/b> works by contacting the server\u2019s MNT service directly.
