tc filter<\/b> … tcindex<\/b> [ hash<\/b> SIZE<\/i> ] [ mask<\/b> MASK<\/i> ] [ shift<\/b> SHIFT<\/i> ] [ pass_on<\/b> | fall_through<\/b> ] [ classid<\/b> CLASSID<\/i> ] [ action ACTION_SPEC<\/b> ]<\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

This filter allows to match packets based on their tcindex<\/b> field value, i.e. the combination of the DSCP and ECN fields as present in IPv4 and IPv6 headers.<\/p>\n

OPTIONS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

action<\/b> ACTION_SPEC<\/i><\/p>\n

Apply an action from the generic actions framework on matching packets.<\/p>\n

classid<\/b> CLASSID<\/i><\/p>\n

Push matching packets into the class identified by CLASSID<\/i>.<\/p>\n

hash<\/b> SIZE<\/i><\/p>\n

Hash table size in entries to use. Defaults to 64.<\/p>\n

mask<\/b> MASK<\/i><\/p>\n

An optional bitmask to binary AND<\/b> to the packet\u2019s tcindex<\/b> field before use.<\/p>\n

shift<\/b> SHIFT<\/i><\/p>\n

The number of bits to right-shift a packet\u2019s tcindex<\/b> value before use. If a mask<\/b> has been set, masking is done before shifting.<\/p>\n

pass_on<\/b><\/p>\n

If this flag is set, failure to find a class for the resulting ID will make the filter fail and lead to the next filter being consulted.<\/p>\n

fall_through<\/b><\/p>\n

This is the opposite of pass_on<\/b> and the default. The filter will classify the packet even if there is no class present for the resulting class ID.<\/p>\n
