NAME<\/a> cache_repair<\/b> – repair cache binary metadata from device\/file to device\/file.<\/p>\n cache_repair<\/b> [options<\/i>] -i<\/b> {device|file} -o<\/b> {device|file}<\/p>\n cache_repair<\/b> reads binary cache metadata created by the respective device-mapper target from one device or file, repairs it and writes it to another device or file. If written to a metadata device, the metadata can be processed by the device-mapper target.<\/p>\n This tool cannot be run on live metadata.<\/p>\n -h, –help<\/b><\/p>\n Print help and exit.<\/p>\n -V, –version<\/b><\/p>\n Print version information and exit.<\/p>\n -i, –input {device|file}<\/b><\/p>\n Input file or device containing binary metadata.<\/p>\n -o, –output {device|file}<\/b><\/p>\n Output file or device for repaired binary metadata.<\/p>\n If a file is then it must be preallocated, and large enough to hold the Reads the binary cache metadata from file metadata, repairs it and writes it to logical volume \/dev\/vg\/metadata for further processing by the respective device-mapper target:<\/p>\n $ cache_repair -i metadata -o \/dev\/vg\/metadata<\/p>\n cache_repair<\/b> returns an exit code of 0 for success or 1 for error.<\/p>\n
