mkinitrd-suse \u2212 is a compat wrapper, which calls dracut to generate an initramfs<\/p>\n

mkinitrd<\/b> creates an initramfs image for the kernel with version by calling dracut<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Important<\/big><\/b>
This version of mkinitrd is provided for compatibility with older versions of mkinitrd. If a more fine grained control over the resulting image is needed, dracut<\/b> should be called directly.<\/p>\n

Create a so called “monster initrd” which includes all available features and modules.
