DESCRIPTION <\/a> <\/h2>\n

pam_shells is a PAM module that only allows access to the system if the user’s shell is listed in \/etc\/shells.<\/p>\n

It also checks if \/etc\/shells is a plain file and not world writable.<\/p>\n

OPTIONS <\/a> <\/h2>\n

This module does not recognise any options.<\/p>\n

MODULE TYPES PROVIDED <\/a> <\/h2>\n

The auth<\/b> and account<\/b> module types are provided.<\/p>\n

RETURN VALUES <\/a> <\/h2>\n

PAM_AUTH_ERR<\/p>\n

Access to the system was denied.<\/p>\n

PAM_SUCCESS<\/p>\n

The user’s login shell was listed as valid shell in \/etc\/shells.<\/p>\n

PAM_SERVICE_ERR<\/p>\n

The module was not able to get the name of the user.<\/p>\n
