It must be an r\/w-mount.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\">This program can be invoked either automatically by <b>mount.nilfs2<\/b>(8) or manually by an administrator. However, users are recommended to invoke <b>nilfs_cleanerd<\/b> through <b>mount.nilfs2<\/b>(8) or <b>mount<\/b>(8) and shutdown it through <b>umount.nilfs2<\/b>(8) or <b>umount<\/b>(8) in order to avoid state inconsistencies among administration tools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\"><b>nilfs_cleanerd<\/b> displays its process ID (pid) to standard output when it started.<\/p>\n<h2>OPTIONS <a name=\"OPTIONS\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\"><b>\u2212V<\/b>, <b>\u2212\u2212version<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Display version and exit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>\u2212h<\/b>, <b>\u2212\u2212help<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Display help message and exit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>\u2212c<\/b> <i>file<\/i>, <b>\u2212\u2212conf<\/b>=<i>file<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Specify configuration file.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>\u2212p<\/b> <i>interval<\/i>, <b>\u2212\u2212protection-period<\/b>=<i>interval<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Override protection period with the specified number of seconds.<\/p>\n<h2>SIGNALS <a name=\"SIGNALS\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\"><b>nilfs_cleanerd<\/b> reacts to a set of signals. You may send a signal to <b>nilfs_cleanerd<\/b> using the <i>PID<\/i> shown by the mount command (or in <i>\/etc\/mtab<\/i>):<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\"><b># mount \u2212t nilfs2<\/b> <br \/> \/dev\/sdb1 on \/nilfs type nilfs2 (rw,gcpid=<i>PID<\/i>) <b><br \/> # kill \u2212<\/b><i>SIGNAL PID<\/i><\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" rules=\"none\" frame=\"void\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tr valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<td width=\"11%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"9%\">\n<p><b>SIGHUP<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"2%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"78%\">\n<p>This lets <b>nilfs_cleanerd<\/b> perform a re-initialization. The configuration file (default is <i>\/etc\/nilfs_cleanerd.conf<\/i>) will be reread.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>SIGTERM<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">The <b>nilfs_cleanerd<\/b> will exit cleanly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>SIGUSR1, SIGUSR2<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Reserved for future use.
