When run without options it prints the super block of the ReiserFS filesystem found on the <i>device<\/i>.<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" rules=\"none\" frame=\"void\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tr valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<td width=\"11%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"9%\">\n<p><i>device<\/i><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"2%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"78%\">\n<p>is the special file corresponding to the device (e.g \/dev\/hdXX for an IDE disk partition or \/dev\/sdXX for a SCSI disk partition).<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<h2>OPTIONS <a name=\"OPTIONS\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\"><b>-j<\/b> <i>device<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">prints the contents of the journal. None of your data are packed unless a filesystem corruption presents when the whole block having this corruption is packed. You send us the output, and we use it to create a filesystem with the same strucure as yours using <b>debugreiserfs \u2212u<\/b>. When the data file is not too large, this usually allows us to quickly reproduce and debug the problem.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<td width=\"11%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"3%\">\n<p><b>-u<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"8%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"78%\">\n<p>builds the ReiserFS filesystem image with gunzip \u2212c xxx.gz | <b>debugreiserfs<\/b> \u2212u \/dev\/image of the previously packed metadata with <b>debugreiserfs \u2212p<\/b>. The result image is not the same as the original filesystem, because mostly only metadata were packed with <b>debugreiserfs \u2212p<\/b>, but the filesystem structure is completely recreated.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<td width=\"11%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"3%\">\n<p><b>-S<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"8%\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"78%\">\n<p>When \u2212S is not specified \u2212p deals with blocks marked used in the filesystem bitmap only.
