These values can also be set during swap creation using <b>mkswap<\/b>(8). The <b>swaplabel<\/b> utility allows changing the label or UUID on an actively used swap device.<\/p>\n<h2>OPTIONS <a name=\"OPTIONS\"><\/a> <\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%; margin-top: 1em\"><b>\u2212h<\/b>, <b>\u2212\u2212help<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Display help text and exit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>\u2212L<\/b>, <b>\u2212\u2212label<\/b> <i>label<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Specify a new <i>label<\/i> for the device. Swap partition labels can be at most 16 characters long. If <i>label<\/i> is longer than 16 characters, <b>swaplabel<\/b> will truncate it and print a warning message.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:11%;\"><b>\u2212U<\/b>, <b>\u2212\u2212uuid<\/b> <i>UUID<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:22%;\">Specify a new <i>UUID<\/i> for the device.
